perhaps for you it is, I'm glad you found something that works for you (I
know 2PD) save me your indoctrination. I AM glad you have found YOUR
solution, so be a chap and let other's find theirs.

You and others may waste all the time you want, LL. But proof is in the
pudding and you are on, what, your tenth restart? Nausated each time?

Having fun yet? Looks like you haven't found anything but failure.

Tomorrow is coming anyway, so one might as well try. Putting weightloss
efforts on hold could very well mean not paying any attention to health, and
that would make tomorrow a more terrible fate.

Her grief and struggle is personal and individual. There is no "should" or
"shouldn't" when it comes to how to deal with personal tragedy. What
people actually "should" do is support people who need it, or at the least
try not to add to their pain. We should not cause unnecessary suffering.
Sometimes, giving someone a mental kick in the ass falls under the category
of causing necessary suffering, but not this time, not in these
    circumstances.

I don't think I've ever seen JC being supportive of anyone, save himself.
As far as Lori is concerned, I think she's made great progress under the
circumstances, and every person deals with these situations differently.
Personally, I wouldn't or couldn't worry about food under her
circumstances, but that's me. Supporting a significant other in these
situations is way more important than diet, in my opinion.

Regardless of what else is going on in her life, Lori cannot stop
eating. Humans are funny like that. Since that's the case, she's
certainly better off eating properly some of the time as opposed to
    none of the time.
If your SO's health and life was slipping away in front of your eyes
and doing so in a way nobody could stop what would *you* do? Would
you completely give up on taking care of yourself? Would you not
allow the situation to divert any additional portion of your attention
from yourself to help your SO? Or would you try to do everything
perfectly at once and find out you're human after all?

My reader blocks sigs so I will assume that something horrendous is or has
gone on in your life. I am sorry for that. Have you had anyone shooting at
you lately? Been in convoy and watched bodies being burned, bombed,
splattered, dismembered and die right before your eyes? Ppl under 25, all
    of them?

    Everybody has problems.

The fact is that my comments were about this ridiculous induction phase and
how it has nothing to do with successful weight loss. It's about jump
starting your head, not your real fat loss as you drop water content. Every
weight loss plan that begins with induction is a documented loser in the
    long run.

    So why do it?

Because it feeds the same illusions the diet does. Immediate gratification
    that hides the failure assured.

  16. Luna said:

You know what? People fall off eating plans for all sorts of stupid
reasons, like overeating at a holiday and saying "Well, I screwed up now,
might as well give up" or reaching goal weight and saying "I'm thin, now I
can eat whatever I want!" or letting "just a taste" here and there
snowball into just a taste every hour or two. Most people fall off because
the taste of the food becomes more important than losing weight. Lori
actually DID have something going on that was more important than losing
    weight.

Many of us do, no doubt about that. Induction sucks and that is the focus
of this thread, nausea, induction (and why go through it when it is
    worthless).

I appreciate the support from all who gave it. I am doing well and so is
Curt at this time. 3 weeks ago it was a different story. when he feels good,
I feel good. When he gets scared, I get scared.
It is also an added expense for me to eat so out of whack with the rest of
the family and that has been an issue here too. Curt is self-employed so if
he isn't feeling good enough to work, then I am the only contributor to the
    family funds.

Now he is off ice fishing again. and that man has EVERY gadget and gizmo
    they make for fishing.

I am feeling good today, I'm off to work out as soon as Sam, my 13 yr old
son gets home from school. 45 min.

take care all who have offered support whether on this forum or through your
    prayers.

If it's really that important to a person, then they shouldn't make excuses
about why they can't give it 100%.

If it's not really that important, then forget about it.

It's not really trying when you have a handy excuse ready to put into play.
