  1. So I am trying to make up my mind and I need some advice. Right now I am riding a 2004 lemond buenos aires. I am debating on getting a better set of wheels and getting fit for it at a local shop or there are two bikes I have in mind that are for sale on Craigslist. One is a 2011 madone 6.5 and he is asking 2400, the other is a 2009 s-works roubaix sl2. I want to be comfortable and I want to be able to ride long distances. I rode a 6.5 a couple years ago and I liked it but I have never ridden an s-works. I just don't know which option is the most cost effective. I don't remember what the 6.5 is like any more. I want to do a century ride or two by the end of summer this year and I want something that soaks up a bit of choppy road.

  2. They are both good bikes but check both of them to see which one has better components...

  3. The 6.5 has ultegra and the sl2 has SRAM rival. I know they are both great bikes but am I better off upgrading my Lemond or just getting a new bike?

Are you uncomfortable on you LeMond?

  5. Not really uncomfortable, just not sure if it is a bike worth upgrading or not. I am thinking about going to the bike shop and having them get me set up on it and get a different seat and seat post and some carbon bars and stem and some easton ec90, zipp 808 or maybe hed 6 for the front and 9 for the rear? I think that is more in the budget then a different bike, slowly change out for dura ace stuff if I have some extra money, rims look like they are somewhat cheaper on ebay then local craigslist.

  6. I am debating on the sl2 or upgrading my bike now. I can't decide. I want a comfortable smooth bike that is good at climbing hills and long rides. My lemond has race lite wheels on it.
