Actually, I've heard of people keeling over, mid-stroke, dead. And even if
it didn't, look what it did to JD.

    Monique,

Have not heard from you for awhile (I left the NG for awhile)... how's it
going. Thought you might be interested to know that one of the pics you took
at the El Dora race I'm using as a background on my computer to motivate my
    ass for this season.

Plan on doing any racing this year?

Very cool! Actually, Eric took them. I'll be sure to tell him about it.

Good question. I haven't planned much of anything this year. I will
definitely be racing off and on, but I don't see myself doing a lot of it. I
guess I see the race as an opportunity to learn more about myself as a rider
and teach myself something. After the eldora escape, I definitely saw
improvement in my riding. I think I'm still learning from that, but I'm sure
another race or two wouldn't hurt ...

My first big goal of the season is to do the entire luna chix clinic series.
Who can pass up a free clinic with shwag?

I hope it doesn't happen to Snowshoe, or any other place for that matter,
    too.

Hopefully, one day I'll be able to build up another DH rig. IMHO, it is
most kick-ass sport on the planet.

    Slacker,

Have you ever headed out to Fontana for the DH races on Sundays? if not,
and you would like to head out, go west on Cherry from I-10 until you come
to a supermarket. Take a left at the light and there you are...at the base
of the downhill races and mini swap meet.

Eric Carter and a myriad of other local pro riders race there often.

Well hang in there bro! Remember the faster you can go uphill the faster
you can go down da hill!!

Watching those fellas at South Mountain pedal those big bikes up National
(including Waterfall) just for the ride down makes me a believer in that.

  16. I can bring my daughters new NEXT (it's got dual suspension, you know
;-) out to VA when I come in April for my AT.

You can have it... FREE of charge.

    ROTFLMAO!

I can hook a rope to the back of my bike and pull him up. Well, maybe I
should ask how much he weighs, first.

  19. Hey Monique, we're scheduled for August 11--14. Camping about 14 mi north
of Sun Valley on the Big Wood River. Midway between 2 major riding meccas.
Like a fat kid with a free pass to Krispy Kremes. Too much....

Thanks! Chances are very slim that I'd be able to make it, but I'd like to at
least keep myself in the loop in case it does work out.

Are you organizing it? How far in advance will you need a definite head/tent
    count?
