I can't speak for DM, but FWIW I didn't misunderstand your remark (nor the smiley face 🙂). I believe it was vaguely based on some history of this forum that not everyone may be privy to.

Yeah, I didn't read it as jerk-itude either, but it's nice to see someone take some responsibility when their comments are not appreciated in the way they were intended, rather than placing the fault on the reader (eg. overly sensitive or the like). Cheers. 🙂

Frenchyge - agree, it is nice when someone doesnt just blame everyone else. this is the net so what you say & mean in speaking to another may sound great to you but not so great to the person you are talking to. taking pains to be crystal clear (not clear as mud) is never a bad thing 😉

wiredued - being an athletic woman, 'specially one thats lifted weights seriously, yadda yadda, you find yourself the target of some insults from not so nice men - who like to say 'she looks/acts/thinks/rides (take your pick) like a man' because you have an opinion or take training seriously or maybe even beat some guys at sports now & then. about being a guru, ha ha, i ask hella silly/obvious/novice questions. good thing many of the vets here are cool peeps who dont mind sharing some wisdom & experience with a newbie.
