I fixed my Kooka cranks

So, did you use a mill with a rotary base? Just curious. OR a simple
belt sander...

I wonder if that blasted nub had any use. Does it strengthen the
interface at all? Maybe it's just for style, although multiple al.
cranks have it. There must be a reason for it.

What a great idea! I have lost two pairs of pants to those annoying
protrusions.

My solution was to switch to 150mm cranks of a different brand. Now I
can go faster too :-)

Vertical mill.

The nub is for their spider attachment... no strength gains, no use on a
uni.

So you used a vert. mill with a rotarty base? I see what the machine
was, but I don't know what attachments you used.

Yeah, a manual indexing head. One pass with a flat end mill, one with a
45 deg chamfer tool.
