Sorry about all the excitement - I still can't believe I did it. A month ago or so, I could only hang there like a dead fish. Since then, I've been doing lots and lots of negative pullups, and today, I decided to try and see if I could do a real one - and I did it!

Way to go! I understand the feeling. Pullups rock.

OK, OK, I'll calm down now.
Brava! Using the negative to work up to something is a great strategy for many movements, especially pullups.

Great stuff. Same for me RE: Handstand pushups.
Give them a go. Report back. Took me about two weeks (four workouts) to perform one complete rep of handstand pushups (after just performing negatives (basically just lowering myself)). My shoulders are noticely bigger. Can do about 8 reps now.

Congratulations. Not a lot of women can do pullups. It's a real accomplishment.

This may sound ignorant, but a pull-up is pulling yourself (own weight) up past the chin hanging from a bar, correct? If so, I've never really implemented those into a routine..... Should I? ~GJ~

Yes, they are probably the best lat exercise going and very good for the biceps and traps. Provides some benefit ot the forearms and abs too.

Hm, I should try those. It'll probably take me longer than 2 weeks, though. It sounds like it'd be good for the shoulders.
At present, they're all upper-body goals - I screwed up my knee and it's still giving me trouble (i.e. no squats, no jumping rope.... sigh). So, I'll probably work towards more pullups; it would be nice to do more than one. I also want to learn to do dips. At present, I can't do even one. Maybe, in a month...
And once my knee gets better, I want to learn to do a one-legged squat.
I'm mostly feeling it in my rear deltoids for some reason - at least, I think it's my rear deltoids. Some kinda shoulder muscle in the back of the shoulder, anyway.
