  1. Wow, I needed a bathing suit for my April vacation, and hit the jackpot at
TJ Max today. I guess it was a good trip mostly because I have been good
maintaining my loss, but was surprised to need a smaller size 14 suit. The
old suit is a size 22. This is a good thing- I was extremely careful at
dinner to only eat what I needed- who wants to bulge out of a suit

I did get my ego corrected though- nothing like a bathing suit try-on
adventure to kill your appetite. Tankinis are not for me- they cut me right
on my soft belly- it looks like a very bad 1 piece suit. There are some
really good slimming suits there for under $25- all good names like Speedo,
so for the price I would have paid online for a bad fit- I got 3 good
    suits.

I had totally forgotten about lunch while shopping Cool! When I did realize
I was getting hungry, I grabbed a bottle of water!

I guess I'm going to be active this summer!

Sounds great. :-) I still have the ones I bought last fall on sale ($2 and
$3.99 each, marked down from $14.99 and $19.99). By your next vacation
they'll be falling off of you.

  3. great job. its always fun to find out you need the smaller size. i
bought the first size 16s ive had since highschool but those back then
were on the way up! hell, i think i was thinking about 13/14s when i
was in 8th grade, so we're talking a lot of years there. great job on
the suits. you're braver than i am. im VERY pale (blonde/blue and
WHITEEEEE) so im very self consious about the very red stretch marks
ive gotten (thank you paxil, i hate you glaxo-smithkline). ive seen
supermodels that look like complete ass in monokinis, so dont feel bad
    about that. again, great job.

  5. WOW!!!!!I lost 2 pounds I'm at a new low and I know it has to do partially
with yesterdays new found restraint. I've been very good lately, and
exercising, but the scale wasn't budging.

guess the clothing try-on outings do work for motivation.

  13. Anything below my ribcage is always the most resilient to change. But the
tush and legs have changed. I feel like a freak. I will admit never giving
the tummy flab to adjust in the past. I would lose a lot of weight (talking
100 pounds once), look in the mirror, see the panniculus from Hell (tummy
apron, the f'n thing actually has a medical name), think,
I worked so hard to still have this (never mind I wasn't exercising),
figured "what the hell" and put the weight back on. Yeah, I'll show you.
    *sigh*

This time around I'm giving things a good year to see what changes. I'm
working at a hospital based gym now, and will even start venturing into the
world of weights. I still think a tummy tuck will be in my future, not to
    mention a bat wingectomy.

I don't even want to think about swimsuits. I've had myself convinced for
years I didn't need one, that I didn't really like the water.

  14. I was at my highest 256 five-ten years ago. Lost 100 pounds twice, had two
pregnancies, I'm 42, so I fear there is a lot of damage I have done to

    # But when you add one to take the suit in it's hardly noticeable. But
these days when suits are so cheap in the late summer why bother unless
    you
plan to keep losing more weight.

  20. I see a lot of soft flab on my thighs and some around my middle- I can see
how if you lost a large amount of weight, the skin would have a hard time
    recovering.

I've taken vitamin supplements from day 1 and think it has helped. That
along with a very slow weight loss lately. I think it does take time to
recover. We need to hear from posters who have kept the weight off over 2
years. My face- I use all the anti wrinkle stuff, but the rest of me doesn't
get more than Sauvé Firming lotion- can't say it helps.

For a 55 lb lose, I think I've faired well for age 51.
