I have a Unistar CX unicycle my parents bought for me when neither they
nor I knew anything about unicycling.
I can ride forwards, loiter, and am almost good with riding backwards
but realize that what I want to focus on now is hopping.
I want to do offroad, jumping onto platforms, stairs, etc. I've been
told I don't have the right unicycle for jumping and was wondering if
this is true and if so, which unicycle should I be using (I'm assuming
it would be something with thicker wheels). In addition to which
unicycle I use, what other factors should I consider in learning to
jump? How do you recommend I begin or does anyone have some helpful
links to tutorials for this sort of thing? Any technique suggestions
would be welcome. I'm a bit unclear as to what muscle or movement I'm
actually supposed to be using to get the unicycle off the ground so I
can reach platforms/objects.
