Some are and some aren't. Maybe in your case you are doing too much, too
soon, too fast, with poor shoes and [censored] form on terrible terrain.
Maybe it you were offer what you run(miles etc) you might get some
suggestions as to how to stay un-injured. I'm assuming this is not a
    troll....

Boy oh boy this sounds more and more like trolling. How fat? I have
hint, if you feel your tonnage is up and the scale verifies it, then I
would suggest you taking up walking since it burns damn close to the
same calories and you eliminate impact and thus the injuries. Once you
get your weight down go back to running.

You're a quick study, Doug. This guy's topics:

[a] [censored] was right about the Jews.
    [b] Nike sux.
[c] Humans are not meant to run.

    Troll? Ya think???

  7. On a more serious note there would appear to be an element of truth in the
OP's contention. I am a triathlete and all my injuries have come from
running, none from swimming or biking. All the runners I know suffer from
the occasional or frequent injury but hardly any of the pure swimmers or
bikers. Are there any endurance runners (competitive) out there who can say
that they have gone through their careers without injury?

I'll agree: it does seem abundantly clear to me that humans are not
    meant to run...

    .... on pavement,
.... in heavy shoes with high heels and various other bits of
    "technology",
.... starting in adulthood after years or decades with no, little, or
    inconsistent running,
.... while living a modern lifestyle - i.e. hours of sitting in an
office chair, et cetera ad nauseum.

None of my injuries has come from surfing the web, but I don't conclude
from this that it's what humans are meant to do. ;-)

  9. Im quite sedentary except for a few minutes of running every second
day. I do run on asphalt. Why can people run 100 miles /week and i cant
    run 5 miles a week.

'Tis my fault. When I see dumb toipics I just [censored] can the entire thread
and don't pay attention those those that contribute. I was not aware
but I will take note from now on.

Good that shows a modicum of intelligence. I did not conclude that because I
had not suffered injury from swimming or biking that humans were meant to do
these things, merely that all my injuries were the result of running long
distances! Exactly what the OP had postulated!

  12. Actually , you are the dullard because I am not a troll. I dont think
in lockstep with all the jew liberals. excuse me. [censored] has been
demonized for decades. if he had won the war, he would be another great
    leader like Nepoleon.

Just a thought here, but the fact that you are a triathlete gives you the
strength, endurance, and determination to be able to push yourself past the
injury threshold while running. Your connective tissues can't keep up.

Ah, now that explains it. I'm so accustomed to using google, forgot
    you had the option.

Sometimes there's so much idiocy here, I *am* momentarily convinced
that humans are not meant to post to usenet...
