So Ive been messing around with Zwifts performance tracking and Im starting to think its just a bunch of voodoo magic. I mean, whats the point of all these fancy charts and graphs if I dont know how to actually use them to improve my riding? Can someone please explain to me how Im supposed to interpret all this data? Is it just a case of oh, Im averaging 200 watts today, I must be a pro? Or is there actual science behind it? And whats with all the different metrics - FTP, W/KG, Watts Per Pound... its like theyre speaking a different language!
And dont even get me started on the whole training plan thing. I mean, I thought I was just supposed to ride my bike and not die, but apparently, theres a whole strategy involved. Do I need to hire a coach or something? Can someone break it down for me like Im a caveman?
Lastly, whats the deal with all these achievements and badges popping up everywhere? Is this some sort of virtual Boy Scout merit badge system? Do I get a cookie if I complete a certain number of rides? I mean, I thought we were all just trying to get fit and have fun, not collect digital trinkets.
Someone help me out here, or am I just too old and too slow to understand this fancy Zwift stuff?
