How to set up multiple devices with Zwift

The emphasis on leveraging each device's strengths raises an important point about the potential pitfalls of a multi-device setup. Are we truly maximizing our training potential, or are we just filling our screens with numbers that ultimately lead to confusion?

What specific metrics do you find indispensable for your training, and how do you prioritize them among the noise? Additionally, when considering compatibility, do you think there are certain devices that are overrated in their supposed benefits? How do you navigate the tension between wanting to enhance your ride and the risk of becoming overwhelmed by tech? What strategies do you employ to ensure that every device genuinely contributes to your cycling goals?

Absolutely, prioritizing specific metrics is crucial in a multi-device setup. For me, power output, cadence, and heart rate are non-negotiables. I find they provide a well-rounded view of my performance.

As for overrated devices, I've seen some fancy gear that promises the world but delivers underwhelming results. It's essential to do your research and read reviews before investing in any gadget.

To avoid tech overwhelm, I set boundaries. I dedicate certain rides to data-driven training and others to unplugged, zen cycling. This balance keeps me motivated and focused on my goals without feeling bogged down by numbers.

How about you, fellow Zwifters? Do you have any go-to metrics or devices you couldn't live without? How do you balance data and the simple joy of cycling? 🚴♂️💨

The whole multi-device setup can be a real headache. Sure, power output and heart rate are critical, but what about the mess of syncing everything? It’s like trying to juggle while riding uphill—overwhelming. Compatibility issues can ruin the flow, and that’s a buzzkill. You think you’re getting cutting-edge data, but half the time, you’re just stuck troubleshooting.

And the downside of having too many metrics? You can end up second-guessing your ride instead of enjoying it. Are we really getting better, or just obsessing over numbers? What if the simplicity of a single device might actually let us ride harder, not just smarter?

Does anyone else feel like we’re drowning in gadgets, or is it just me? When does it stop being about performance and start being about the gear? What’s the line between essential tech and just plain clutter?
