  1. So, Im trying to understand why its so ridiculously hard to create custom routes on FulGaz. Can someone please explain to me why, in this day and age, I still have to manually enter GPS coordinates just to get my ride to show up on the platform?

Is there seriously no way to import routes from other apps, like Strava or Garmin, without having to jump through hoops and do some sort of magical data conversion dance? And dont even get me started on the whole route validation process, which seems to be completely arbitrary and makes me wonder if FulGaz is secretly trying to drive me insane.

Look, I get it - FulGaz has some amazing features, and the ride simulations are top-notch. But cant we have a little bit of convenience and user-friendliness when it comes to creating custom routes? Is that too much to ask?

And while were at it, can someone please explain to me why FulGaz still doesnt support .gpx files? I mean, come on - its not like thats some obscure file format that nobody uses. Its the standard for GPS data exchange, for crying out loud!

So, FulGaz pros, help me out here - what am I missing? Is there some secret trick or technique that Im not aware of? Or am I just stuck in a never-ending cycle of frustration and disappointment when it comes to creating custom routes?

  2. It's clear that creating custom routes on FulGaz is a source of frustration for many users, including the original poster. The lack of integration with other apps like Strava and Garmin, and the absence of .gpx file support, does seem inconvenient and user-unfriendly.

However, it's worth considering that FulGaz may have its reasons for not including these features. Perhaps there are technical limitations or licensing issues that make it difficult to support .gpx files or integrate with other apps.

That being said, I do agree that the process of creating custom routes could be more streamlined. Manually entering GPS coordinates is a tedious and time-consuming process, and the route validation process could certainly be more transparent and consistent.

Overall, while I understand FulGaz's desire to maintain control over the user experience, I think they could benefit from adding some of these features to make custom route creation more accessible and user-friendly.

  3. It's interesting that you bring up the challenges of creating custom routes on FulGaz. I can understand your frustration with manually entering GPS coordinates and the seemingly arbitrary validation process. It does make one wonder about the priorities of the platform's developers.

The lack of support for .gpx files is especially puzzling, given its widespread use in the cycling community. It's as if FulGaz is intentionally making it difficult for users to import routes from other apps.

But let's consider the broader implications of this issue. The difficulty in creating custom routes on FulGaz could be a barrier to entry for new users. If the process is too complicated or time-consuming, some users may simply opt for a different platform.

Moreover, the inability to easily import routes from other apps limits the potential for collaboration and community-building within the FulGaz user base. It's difficult to share and discover new routes when there's no straightforward way to import them.

Ultimately, it seems that FulGaz could greatly benefit from a more user-friendly approach to custom routes. By addressing these issues, they could not only improve the user experience but also foster a more engaged and collaborative community of cyclists.

  4. The struggle to create custom routes on FulGaz is indeed frustrating, and it's valid to question the lack of import options and .gpx file support. While FulGaz offers excellent ride simulations, the process of creating custom routes can be a hurdle, especially for those accustomed to using platforms like Strava or Garmin.

Manually entering GPS coordinates can be time-consuming and prone to errors, and the validation process, which may seem arbitrary, can add to the frustration. It's worth noting that data conversion from other apps can sometimes lead to inconsistencies or formatting issues, which might be a reason for FulGaz's cautious approach.

However, the lack of .gpx file support is puzzling, as it is indeed a standard format for GPS data exchange. This limitation might be due to compatibility issues or specific data handling procedures within FulGaz.

In summary, while there might be valid reasons for these limitations, it's clear that FulGaz could improve in terms of user-friendliness and convenience when creating custom routes. It would be beneficial for FulGaz to provide more clarity on these issues and consider expanding their import options and file format support.

  5. Creating custom routes on FulGaz can indeed feel like a maze! 🤔 It's surprising that importing routes from other apps or supporting .gpx files isn't a seamless process yet. The route validation process could use some improvements too, for sure.

Perhaps FulGaz is focusing on perfecting their ride simulations, leaving custom route creation as an area to explore? 🧭 It's like they've built this fantastic virtual cycling world, but the map to get there needs some work.

Have you tried contacting FulGaz support to share your concerns? They might have some insights or workarounds we're not aware of. Or, who knows, they could be just as puzzled as we are and take our feedback to improve the platform! 💡

  6. The struggle with custom routes on FulGaz is valid. The manual entry of GPS coordinates can be cumbersome and time-consuming. The lack of direct import from Strava or Garmin, and the absence of .gpx file support, does seem restrictive. However, FulGaz's approach could be to ensure high-quality ride simulations, prioritizing data accuracy over convenience. While this may not alleviate the frustration, it provides context for their decisions.

  7. FulGaz's focus on accuracy over convenience, sure, it's got its perks. But let's be real, manual GPS entry's a pain. I get why folks are frustrated. Strava, Garmin import, where are ya? High-quality sims or not, that hassle matters.

  8. Man, I still can’t wrap my head around why FulGaz makes us jump through all these hoops. Like, why not just let us upload a .gpx and call it a day? It’s 2023, right? Feels like we’re stuck in the stone age here. What’s the deal with the validation process anyway? Just seems like a way to keep us grinding for no good reason. Anyone else feeling this pain?
