Who the hell would pay $20 for a LIVESTRONG band???

I think it is a bit wrong that he states "If you buy the fakes, the money
will NOT be used for a GOOD CAUSE!"......what a crock......The $1 US has
already gone to the "good cause" when he bought it from the LAF, now the
money is going to his cause!!

My plan of buying 100 of these things and selling them at cost is looking
    better and better.

I put up the following question:
I see that you are saying don't buy fakes, support the cause, so was
wondering what % of the $20 you are asking is going to the LiveStrong cause?

    here's his lame response:

Thanks for your email. We are going to use the money to purchase more
wristbands and spread the chain. Also we did not ask for $20 but we
start the listing from 99 cent and we have put enough listings so you
can bid on our other listings if the price in one listing is too high.
Please see my other items. Thank you

  4. I've got a spare LiveWrong band, but can't be bothered with ebay. How about a fair swap, say a slab of Goat Hightail? Or Surefoot, if you really want it. :p

good one, I second that..I have 10 of the blighters , still in their bags,'direct from LAF, if anyone wants one I'll gladly go the Surefoot, but just join in a shout at the Goatage hallowed halls at the next PubBug tasting, and I''ll donate one each to the best joke, the best horror story and the best shaved legs, oh and also to whoever can guess what my latest bottom bracket is on my roadie!
(maybe a few more categories will emerge). 😄

Those bands have totally taken off as a fashion accessory over here!
You (I) see people walking around with 2-3 bands, fluoro orange, green, blue, etc. I seriously doubt LAF is making multi-coloured bands (let me know) which means that there's some clever people making some dollars out of this..
I do see quite a few of the LAF bands too, compared to the "none" I saw in Melbourne (not counting cycle races).

Purple ones here in Perth have been sold as a fund raiser to support breast cancer research. They have "Breast Aware" imprinted on them. Make of that what you will.

howabout best tat? (but only if dan from shifterbikes aint there 😄)

oh, and im guessin somethin campy (of course!)

and as for joke, to keep it in theme...

as explained by Cliff Clavin, of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm.
    Here's how it went:

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo
can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when
the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones
at the back that are killed first This natural selection is
good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the
regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the
slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we
know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

I'm here and it's too damned cold for the locals to wear suitable attire
    for checking such claims.
