Whats the absolute minimum I can get away with spending on a basic toolkit without being totally embarrassed in front of my clubmates?
I mean, come on, lets be real - a lot of you are probably obsessive-compulsive about your tools and have spent a small fortune on fancy widgets and gadgets that you only use once a year. But for the rest of us mere mortals, whats the bare minimum we need to get by? Im not looking to win any awards for best home mechanic or anything, I just want to be able to make basic adjustments and repairs on the fly without having to call in the cavalry every time I get a flat.
And dont even get me started on the whole you get what you pay for argument. Yeah, sure, a $500 toolbox might be nice, but Im not made of money, folks. Ive got better things to spend my hard-earned cash on - like, you know, actually riding my bike instead of just tinkering with it in the garage.
So, whats the absolute rock-bottom price point for a basic toolkit that wont leave me stranded on the side of the road with a broken bike and a bunch of useless junk in my bag? Inquiring minds want to know...
