How much did your bibs stretch?

They are synthetic and stretch return to their original lshape.

The Sugoi RS bibs that I have are a fraction on the tight side for the straps and they dont have that much give when you you need to have a slash.
These have worn really badly and are write off after only 12months. Wouldn't touch their clothes again with a ten fooot barge pole.
The Pearl Izumi bibs are much more comfortable.

My PI's are the oldest,a few years and the straps are a tad not as tight but they work fine. My Descente's which i like better are the same after a year as when i got them which is a bit tighter then the PI's

I'd say my Castelli yPRO3's didn't stretch at all, nor would I expect them to. Like geoffs says, Lycra is meant to retain it's shape. I wear size large - 6'5" with a 35 inch non-cycling inseam, just for your reference.

Thanks buddy, i'm realy not sure what to order though. I went to a store and tried on pearl izumi microsensor's with the idea of needing medium according to the sizing charts... (waist: 32-34 chest 40) yet it seems XL will fit me(waist:38-41 chest 44-46)!!! So i don't know what to expect from castelli. thanks for the info though

I've worn bibs from several manufacturers and I've found this to be true no matter which one.

The bib will stretch somewhat to fit the wearer. Some initial snugness is expected, but if you're not comfortable after wearing it for 10 minutes, it's too small. In my opinion, a snug fit is definitely better than a loose one.

Wish I could help you. I know those yPRO3s aren't cheap. Maybe a few more of my own measurements might help. 40 inch chest, 32 inch waist, 167lbs... I've got super-skinny chicken legs - anything bigger than a large would be too loose. Good luck.

thanks man, i guess ill give large a try... im wierd, i have big quads but my calves are small, so i dunno how the legs will fit. My waist and chest measurements are the same, 40 and 32-33... hopefully large wont fit tight on my legs, thanks man.

I had a good look at the Descente bibs at the bike show last year and they looked good the only problem was when I needed some new ones they didn't have an Australiam distributor that I could find. If I had the choice I would have picked them over the PI.
