i personally focus on weight training and "position maintainence". the pos maint. means that i only ride once or twice a week at a recovery pace just to keep me used to riding. as an example, so when i start riding a lot more, my ass doesnt hurt and my back doesnt strain too much. this year i have focused on weight loss, flexibility through yoga, and weight training. im shooting for 148 pounds by xmas eve (the day my Base 1 starts) and then 144-145 by summertime.
so to answer your question, once or twice a week between now and xmas eve.

I do lifting three or four days per week, and mix that with running, XC skiing, riding trainers and exercycles, indoor soccer, basketball, and boxing, but I only train specifically for cycling three or four days a week in the off-season. When July rolls around; however, I will be doing 150 miles per day with one or two rest days per week. Then I will cool off in June to rehabilitate my body for racing, and by August, I will be doing seven days a week with no lifting involve whatsoever. My peak is August 16th, btw.

150 miles a day? Every day of the week?
Do you work for a living?

I've resumed a buildup of 20x2@100%ftp, two consecutive days. Then an hour to a hour and a half of tempo work, high lvl 3 to lower lvl 4. Then resume the 2x20 @ lvl 4@100%ftp witch comprises 10min warmup, 20 min @ lvl 4, 5-10 min chill out, 20 min @ lvl 4, then a 10 min cool down. Without specific lvl 4 work, I attempt to hold my HR into the upper 160's during the workouts which I try to achieve an avg HR. I try to put up 5 days a week, even if its 1 hour a day on the trainer. Weekends are usualy an opportunity, hopefully its still warm out.😄

Oops, I put 150- that's more than double. I meant more like 70ish. But nho, I do not work for a living, I'm a Senior in high school.

combo of road + indoor trainer spinervals + MTB = 4 times or 8-9 hours
5-6 hrs of CSE, 10 hours of S&R -
My training consists of:
Mon/Wed/Fri
- 40km ride followed by fit-ball core strength work in the morning
Tue/Thu
- 6 x 1km soft-sand interval running (each km is followed by resistance excercise such as push-ups, dips, chin-ups, ab-work (in the evening)
Sat/Sun
- 30km ride in the morningThis gives me a balanced body shape.
Determined to not look my fellow class mates in 3 years when 40 (they already looked like 40 at 30!)

I just started with a coach and I'm on a 6 day schedule right now - though only 5 of those are bike days. One day is pretty easy with just 20 min of core work.
