  1. i own 4 (not expensive) MTB's

im saving up the £££ to invest in a good road bike as i am getting more into this hobby.

and just wondering how many you own?

    steve.

  2. Two. A BMX that I rode when I was a kid, and my city bike (cheap MTB). Soone to be three though, when I pick up my new XtC 2 tomorrow 😄.

  3. 2. I've a hybrid that never ever lets me down, and an old road bike that someday I hope to restore. My wife owns a cheapo mountain bike. We've also got a child trailer for my daugter if that counts.

  4. Let's see.

A good MTB (for nice rides). 😄
A downhiller (for steep rides).
A touring MTB (for long rides). 😎
A road bike (for getting fit). 🙂
A winter bike (read [censored] road bike with mudguards). :o
    A BMX (I don't know why). 😕
A hotrod (Kona BikeHotRod - my lady doesn't know why) :p

    That makes 7.

Is that too many for one person? 🙄

  5. 3 for me:

    1- 1998 Raleigh M50 Mtn bike

2- 1979 Falcon Roadie....going to start rebuilding in the fall....steel
custom paint job soon to come also

3- My baby...2004 LeMond Tourmalet roadie...This machine ROCKS!!!

I am now in the market for a lesser bike to use as my rain/commuter bike
Probably a LwMond Etape or Specialized Allez.

  6. I'm down to 2 bikes at present:

    1.1999 Cannondale 700r and

    2. 2005 Litespeed Vortex

Number 3 was a 1997 Mongoose hybrid, tricked out for road training. I lost it (and almost my life  ) when I was hit by a bus two years ago.

  7. 5 for me, 2 for the gf

Mine are 2 road and 3 mtn, and she has 1 of each.

  8. I currently own 4... I would have 5 but I just sold one.

    05 Cannondale R700
    01 Cannondale R400
    01 Specialized Rockhopper A1
    01 Specialized Crossroads
    01 Specialized Crossroads elite (sold)
    95 Specialized Rockhopper A1 (sold in 03)

  9. cheap mtb
decent city bike for groceries and stuff
    good road bike

  10. Six roadies.

One MTB fitted out with slicks, mudguards, and rear rack.

Seven seems like a sensible number to me.

    Well...hmmmm...maybe eight...or nine...or...🙄

  11. can someone gimme a free bike..?

we got three in my garage

'04 Giant VT3 Duallie (with second 700C wheelset)

'96 Apollo Himalaya (rebuilt) for commuting & shopping

'04 Elwood SE for the wife

  14. Me
95 GT Richochet MTB (still going strong, long live the hardtail!)
05 Giant TCR2 road (love it, love it!)

    Wife
    95 Ironhorse MTB

    Kids
    03 Giant aluminum tricycle
05 Trek 16" wheel fun bike
    04 Nashbar child trailer

Next purchase is a track bike, or maybe cyclocross,...retro steel?

  15. JUST MY BELOVED 2002 TREK 8500 :o

  16. only one .if i have much more money ,i would own at least three.

  17. 1) Felt F80
    2) Pinarello Dogma

  18. giant tcr carbon thing from this year, chorus-ish
giant tcr alum from a couple years back, record-ish.
    a nice bmx freestyle bike
a 4 or 5 year old trek mtb xtr
a really old RIGGIO track bike (anyone know where these are from?)
I've saved a lot of my old frames for some reason, most of them broken or bent. Basso, Cannondale, Specialized, Panasonic.

gf has a 2 year old Coppi, daytona.

looking for a tandem and another tcr frame for a spare.

  19. I just own my Giant Sedona DX that I started with 2 years ago when I got back into riding (just passed 1800 miles on the odometer this morning).

I plan to get a second (road) bike next year in order to be able to complete a century. Undecided on exactly what I will get, but I doubt that I would ever spend more than $600 on a bike.

Former bikes, a Western Flyer 5 speed (died of a broken frame), a 3 speed bike built from spare parts (thrown out while I was in boot camp), a Schwinn LeTour IV (sold to a room mate when I transferred), and a Sears road bike w/ 26" wheels (rusted for years in the back yard before being tossed when I bought my Giant).

  20. Three. My hella old Univega Alpina. Then my mountain bike. An old GT RTS-2 (weird set up for dual suspension). And my Trek 470 road. I know, it is a heavy steel frame, but damn I love the thing and I have swapped out almost every part to it except the frame. She has taken a beating over the years, but I just haven't ridden anything as close to her....for what I want.
