I've got 3 cups of 'fresh' blackberries given to me by a friend. They were frozen, and she thawed them enough to split the bag with me. Only now they are thawed and in the bottom of my fridge. I'm planning to make a cobbler with them next week.
Question, will they keep in the fridge until Thursday (5 days from now) or should I re-freeze them? Can they be frozen again or will it completely destroy them?

If thawed blackberries were in my fridge, I'd make the cobbler right now. Almost nothing re-freezes without a loss of quality, and just keeping them in the fridge until Thursday almost insures rot or mold.
I will bring some ice cream and will be right over to help you with those!
Seriously they wont last that long in the fridge.
take care Liz

No, they won't last that long. Make that cobbler now. If you simply cannot use the berries now, then refreeze them and use them very soon. The quality will suffer a bit from the refreeze, but not as much as if you let them hang around thawed for 5 days.

Make the cobbler now, then freeze the cobbler. You may lose these otherwise.

Use them now. Refreezing will almost insure the quality of the berry to deteriorate. I doubt the berries will make another 5 days.

They've already been frozen and thawed once, their texture is already about as deteriorated as it's going to get, re- freezing won't cause berries any more discernable deteriorzation. I'd pop em back into the freezer rightaway, no telling when one is going to get around to that cobbler, if ever... at least they'll one day be still okay to top off that gallon of 'nilla ice cream yer planning to shovel into your face come next pig-out nite.
