  1. I don't understand how a normal oven or pan fried pizza is fatning.
It's basically like a sandwhich. It's got dough and water for the base,
then meat, and vegetables. What is the fatning part of it?

The oil and cheese. Commercial pizzas drip with oil. Put one hot on a
    napkin.

  3. I am not!

Wheat crust is high starch carbs. many calories
Tomato sauce is high sugar carbs, many calories
The meats are high fat, many calories
The olives are high in oil, many calories
The cheese is mostly fat, very high calories
The veggies are cooked and of no nutritional value
The food combining makes it very hard to digest and results in digestive
    upset and bloating

Not a good food at all. Consider as junk food.

Oil is not the fattening part.

All the flour/starch in the crust is.

Don't eat the crust. Just the topping. ;-)

Less than half the calories are from carbs, so your comment about this
being the fattening part is BS. Calories are fattening no matter from
    where they come.

A Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza is 35% fat calories, 20% protein calories,
    and 45% carb calories.

Because of the relatively high fat and protein content, commercial
take-out pizza is calorically very dense: more than 2.5 kcal/g. This is
the REAL thing which makes it such a fattening food. You can easily eat
4 slices before you think about it, and get 1800 kcal.

Other kinds of pizza from the same source can be looked at here:

  7. I've already posted recent reports about how toxic highly unsaturated
oils are when heated up (and many are even if you don't heat them up).
I eat huge amounts of cheese, yogurt, butter, coconut, and ice cream
(Breyer's, because it doesn't have carrageenan in it), but I'm 5'9"
tall and about 120 pounds (40 yr. old male). All my friends and
relative are overweight to some degree. None of them take my advice to
avoid highly unsaturated fat sources and eat antioxdiant-rich foods
like berries and dark chocolate with each meal. Eating pizza is just a
variation on the theme of the "corn fed" farmer's daughter.

Carb calories count more than fat and protien calories.
Has to do with the way they are processed.

The dough is made of processed wheat flour... what is not
burned as energy goes to fat.... the cheese is almost pure
fat...what is not burned for energy goes to create fat.

do 2 hours on a tread mill every day and you eat a lot of
pizza not get fat.... or skip the pizza. and eat salads and
meat and fruits and you can skip the treadmill if you work
    much at all/

Yes ..and then if you peel the cheese out of the topping
    you get much less fat.

It's not necessarily fattening. Depends on what you put on it and how much
of it you eat. Some of the meat toppings such as pepperoni are loaded with
fat and calories. Some argue that the cheese is fattening. It is often
drizzled with olive oil. If you get a thin crust, whole wheat pizza with
vegetable toppings and some cheese and eat only one slice, then it's not
fattening. But if you're like a lot of people, you get the extra large kind
with extra everything and eat until you're stuffed. Now that's fattening!

    Quantities are fattening, not foods.

    The calories.

    How so?
Carb calories = 4 calories per gram
Protein calories = 4 calories per gram
Fat calories = 9 calories per gram

The way carbs are processed/digested depends largely on what kind they
are. But it has nothing to do with 'counting more'. Proteins and fats
generally take longer to digest, but they dont 'count less'. A calorie
is a unit of energy and nothing more.

The body lives primarily on Glucose.

It takes calories to turn any "food" into that energy source.

For the body to convert proteins into glucose takes a longer pathway,
more calories and more effort in order for the body to use it as fuel.

That is why, if you eat nothing but protein for an extended period of
time, you can eventually starve to death.

I'd suggest you research "rabbit starvation".

Don't try to suggest they are mutually exclusive. If you want to be
healthy you had best exercise AND eat right. It's a misconception that
if you do lots of exercise(burning calories) you can then eat a pile of
[censored] food and burn it all off.
