  1. Hi mates!

I think it is time to post how far we can go in 30 and 60 minutes!

It would be nice if you could write your age too!

    30 min: 12,5 miles (20 km)

    60 min: 23,75 miles (38 km)

    And I am 17

  2. my fastest in hour hour is 23 miles, with 40 mph sprints with traffic lights and traffic to slow for. i gave up trying to do 60 min TT
because of traffic, hills, wind , ect . i wish i could ride 60 min steady without having to stop for traffic and not having to climb a hill, just a nice flat long rode. im 37 btw.

    I have PB's from when I was 17...
    22.08 for 10 miles
    58.08 for 25 miles
Done on TT bikes on a rolling (i.e. not the worlds fastest) course.

    The other day i covered a shade under 70 miles in 60-mins. i'm 34.

Did you mean on the bike? :p 🙄 🙂

  5. When I was seventeen ( 1966) I use to get very drunk and ride my old three speed speedwell down a big hill into Narrabeen lakes, that was about 70 yards/metres didn't time the approach but it took about 15 minutes to get the dam thing back out of the mud.

  6. 11.5m slightly rolling terrain in 30 mins.

    21 years old

  7. Damn, I'm slow. I'm not even at 75% the distances mentioned there. My fastest average ever was just over 18mph for 40 mins. And it took serious timing of the couple of red lights, etc., to get that. I just don't know how these averages are possible!

I do the same 92 k ride every year, when they time trial it the best time every was 2hrs 17min that’s 40k ( 25miles ) in an hour. my best time ( not this year, last year ) was 3hrs 20min that’s 27k ( 17miles ) in an hour. I was 54 YO.

You don’t feel so dam slow now.

I reckon on the flat with a tail wind and a 59T chain ring and three days sleep preparation I do 48k (30miles ) in and hour, and an easy 17 miles in 30 minutes cause I'm real good on short distances.

Oh I forgot to specify the strength of the tail wind, shucks

  11. Well I try to measure improvements every other week in my training by doing 30 min checks and 60 min checks every other week, I'm weird that way and I do have bad days (head wind).

    9.59miles in 30 min

    21.5 miles in 60 min

    age 31

  12. Has anyone done a 10 mile TT in a velodrome ? what’s the times like on a level (ramped) playing field ?

  13. My time in a 38km race before Xmas was 1:03 thats 35 kph on a hilly course includes about 50% riding in a bunch.

Overall average over 450km ridden so far this month is 27 kph. About 50% of my rides include hills longer than 2km with grades around 5% (ups and downs). I can maintain about 14 to 16 kph going up these hills, if a short hill I try to maintain a little over 20kph. Because I'm gutless I get a bit nervous going over 70kph on the downhills, my younger companions leave me for dead on the ups and the downs!

My age is mid 40's and I started riding in September.

    And I am 17

    20km T/T in 31 min
    36km in 60min
    I'm 54yo

  15. I log almost every ride, check this one: Oct. 2003

27.71 miles in 59.50 (I had a 25-35mph wind at my back the whole time. I actually rode almost 20 miles past the turn back to my car because the wind was such a boost. I called my wife when I stopped and caught a ride back). Now that's cheating.

  16. My regular course is 43 miles, rolling hills and constant winds and I've been riding for 2 months, give or take a week or two.

Here's my time from todays ride

    30 min - 11.5 miles
    60 min - 22.0 miles

total time for the 43 miles was 2:00.44

    I'm 21 and like I said...only been riding for 2 months

  17. 20k TT - 32 min
    40k TT - 1h 8 min

  18. I managed 30 miles in 1:30 the other day and that included 3 very big hills (2 at about 8% for 1-1.5 miles and one 10% for 3/4 of a mile) and there were absolutely no flat bits at all!

  19. Feeling inadequate here :

    Using Pinarello Road Bike :
    60 mins : 18.9 miles
    30 mins : 10.4 miles

I am 38 - returned to cycling three years ago (was competitive
    15-20 years ago).

    I'm now a leisure cyclist.
Usually aim for 3-4 hour sessions of between 45 - 60 miles.
Prefer slower longer rides to faster shorter spins.
Course profile includes several climbs - and long flat stretches.

  20. I think it all depends on the conditions.

At the Noosa Triathlon (I only did the ride leg, and it's non drafting), I did the 40K in about 1:02 (not including transition), and there was a fairly decent hill to climb.

When I go training in and around Brisbane, I'm lucky if I can average 34kmh over an hour.

    I'm 25 btw...
