After working 5 days don't you relish the weekend where you can enjoy doing anything? What do you usually do?
If I live in Chicago, I usually go for a long distance bike ride along Lake Shore Drive on Saturdays in good weather - awesome place to work out and sightsee or maybe meet people. And after the workout you can hit Michigan Ave for shopping or eating, or do the same anywhere west of LSD. I never usually go to nightclubs, as I hate losing sleep, dancing, and I don't drink alcohol. If the weather was bad Saturday, maybe I'd hit a mall, but Chicago malls aren't as good as Houston's. Then Sunday, I go across the street and go to Church at St Elizabeth hospital. They used to have good cafeteria food there and $1 lunches for Sr Citizens but not any more. I used to think my Sunday routine in Chicago was good until I lived in Houston.
Living in Houston - this is a boring place to workout in a bike! The parks are just not as good a Chicago's LSD. So what I do on Saturdays, if it's not hot and humid, is do a medium distance bike shopping workout to 5 thrift stores in the west of Houston. If I do car instead, I hit the thrift stores, get Fillipino takeout, shop some items at Walmart, check out Marshalls, then take the hwy to Houston's biggest mall, Galleria. I try to hang out and window shop Galleria, look at magazines in the book store, and of course I'm cruising for a chick here. But that gets problematic if I went out in drag, so nowadays I mostly shop in guy mode on Saturdays but I'm getting a gay reputataion for shopping for womens clothes as a guy. Like you can't window shop Dillard's lingerie without being called "gay" by a SA. Then I treat myslef to a good dinner at Galleria. Nothing to do but shop other places after Galleria or go home - I don't go to any Houston nightclubs because I don't know of any good ones. And I've never picked up a chick at a nightclub ever.
Sunday in Houston - I go to 9am Mass, then usually the Walmart that has a Waffle House next to it. Waffle House's cheesesteak omelet is my favorite meal, but I can only affor it while employed. Unemployed, I discovered I could buy $8 of eggs, meat, and cheese and cook myself the equivalent of maybe 8 Waffle House Cheesesteak Omelet meals - so I save a lot. But if I don't need to go to Waffle House I grocery locally to save gas and time. Or another option is to eat at Fillipiniana - Houston's best Fillipino buffet restaurant.
I otherwise whittle away time on web forums, cable tv, Netflix, or maybe hangout at Barnes & Noble. I discovered recently that I can make my own awesome tasting cold coffee so now I'm rarely ever gonna pay $4.60 for a good cup of cold coffee at Starbucks or a bookstore or mall.
