Yep. I sold a shock on MtbR and had the dude PayPal me the
$.

As soon as I received the funds I took pictures of the box
(with the address label) and emailed them to the guy, along
with the tracking info.

MtbR classifieds worked incredibly well; I had bites within
24 hrs of posting my ad. I would consider a good Escrow
service though for high ticket items. Or at least give the
customer that option to make them feel more secure.

How do you make sure everyone is comfortable they are not
getting ripped off?

I haven't sold anything over $500 but everybody I've sold to
was fine with sending payment first. And I've done about 120
transactions in the last two years.

Has anyone ever said they would only use a secured
payment method?

Personally, I will not do any transaction where I have no
recourse, but I then again could be among the minority.

to was fine with sending payment first. And I've done
