Mash them with mayo, butter, mustard, or the preferred sludge of
choice, and scoop them up with celery sticks, or pipe the mixture onto
celery sticks with a pastry bag? Roll the stuff in lettuce leaves? Wrap
them in low-carb whole-wheat tortillas? Roll them into an omelette?

How about putting them on thin slices of cheese instead of the crackers?

    Pat in TX

  6. I know this doesn't help in the present context, but I used to love them
mashed up with chopped onion & a bit of dill then smeared on rye bread.
    Yum.

Geez.. a little work for a good cause.

I love to make Eggs Casino with sardines. It is very nice.

    Wow...you're quite the chef, huh?

I don't have a written recipe, but it is very much like deviled eggs.
    You use hard boiled eggs.

    Cut eggs in half lengthwise.
Remove the yolks and mash with sardines, mayonnaise, mustard salt,
pepper. Then spoon the stuff back in the eggs. Lay it down dome up.
Then to coat, make a mayonnaise, horseradish, aspic mix. Wait until
the aspic thickens in the fridge and then pour it over. Put it back
in the fridge and finish thickening. Put some parsley on top for
decor. This is awesome. And pretty. Super eye appeal.

I used to serve this on a top of some peas and carrot salad that was
simply blanched and chopped, then mixed with mayonnaise. It's very
elegant, especially for lowcarb parties. If you're into that sort of
thing. Now I just serve it on chopped lettuce. Hm. Rutabagga?

Eggs Casino... Royal LC. With sardines.

  10. That's why you're still fat.

It's one of my passions 🙂 And Low carbing brings a total new chapter to
it. The possibility of eating gourmet food that keeps you healthy as well,
is totally charming. And not at all difficult. You just shift gears and
    discover new ingredients to use.

splash of soy and just a few slices of green onions YUM. I used to do
