It is my understanding that alt. groups are open to every
and anything. Suggested guidelines can be posted, but are
not 'official'.

Other groups (misc. included) are supposed to be more
structured where people are expected to abide by the Charter
for the 'privilege' of posting there. I'm sure warnings have
been sent to ISP's about offending posters, which may or may
not effect a change.

Another alternative is to start a
(misc.health.alternative.mod) moderated group. It is a lot
of work for the moderator(s), but weeds out those OT
personality clashing posts. It is very easy to get into
smart aleck bantering on occasion and some take it to a very
dark unhealthy place.

Think more about the young, impressionable readers who may
come here with a sincere interest in their health, looking
for wisdom from the 'adults' here.......

How successful are these .mod groups? Do they last? I would
think they would be very limiting in what can be posted,
