Horner to a European team. New news.
Gianetti and PFC. Old news.
Directors who may have doped while they were riders? Very old news.
The more relevant question is: which are the ones who were clean, if
any? "Venga!" Saiz, maybe, since he never raced.

IIRC, Godefroot was actually dq'ed off a podium place at
some major one-day classic for a positive test (no idea
what kind).

Oops. More proof that I'm better suited to Densa.

That happened at least 5 years ago. Tell us something we don't know.
What's next?
Let me guess: During the next passage of the TdF over Mont Ventoux,
you'll inform us that Tom Simpson was on amphetamines.
Stop the presses! D. Fred Last has some breaking news!

At least he didn't run over some chick's neck in a collegiate race.

When it comes to the Ventoux, I prefer this anecdote from Geminiani:
Maybe if Simpson had learned some history... a la fois ane et
coursier...

That has to be the funniest thing I ever heard anyone confess to. Damn, what
ever happened to him? Between that and his tuba, that guy was worth several
laughs per thread.

I can't imagine a better team for Horner to be on.. I wish him the
best of luck, and I hope he wins a 1.3 race or two...

I have a Vini Caldirola-Saunier Duval kit, dating from the year that
Freddy Rodriguez was on the team... I guess now that both he and
Garzelli are gone from that outfit, I'll have to be a Francesco
Casagrande fan. 🙂 I've also got Fassa Bortolo and ONCE kits.
