  1. He's only gone and done it.

Vernon has completed his LEJOG today.

He's had a few trials and tribulations on the way, including a
recalcitrant wheel, and a busted frame.

In true pioneer spirit, and with the aid of a Very Nice Man, the frame
was repaired and he continued on his way. Good lad.

Three cheers for Vern.... hip hip!

    Horray!

I've been reading his blog and following all the trials and tribulations with
    interest.

It's the only LEJOG write up where the rider has finished the ride with
a bike in better condition than they started!

Kudos to Vernon - a great trip.

Chapeau to him. A great achievement, especially for such a large
    feller.

I'm fed up with Life 1.0. I never liked it much and now it's getting
me down. I think I'll upgrade to MSLife 97 -- you know, the one that
comes in a flash new box and within weeks you're crawling with bugs.
