    Mike,
it must be me, i was cycling with my quest and burley today. Was
overtaken by another cyclist. I would like to invite you to
participate in a race that we have www.cyclevision.nl there will be
just a little more speed involved, so perhaps also more interesting?
    Greetings,

    Whoops,
pressed send too soon, our story could be read in the dutch forum
also. It is called moral decay. We are very fortunate that dutch is a
language that few people speak and nobody understands otherwise a lot
    of people could read

Special Day. Would we have got complimentary haaring brotjes or something?

  7. I can only speak for the groups that went out from Amsterdam. 30, 50
    and 70 Km rides.

They all arrived back at similar time so there evidently was a variety
    of speeds.

I was with the newcomers 30 km group and had a great time as usual.
Ligfietswinkel loaded us up with cakes and coffee before we left
followed by a beer when we got back. Thanks to all there.

I reckon around 40 - 50 people in total. Twice the number of cyclists
that we can get out on a non-competitive sunday ride in Edinburgh.
So minority interest cycling in the Netherlands is more popular than
mainstream cycling for families in Scotland. The Dutch rides have a
fee and the Scottish rides are free.

The Ligfietsdag events are accessible to anyone interested in trying a
recumbent. No special cycling powers are required. Our group had all
ages and fitness - from 14 year olds through to people even older than
    me.

I did get overtaken by a head down fietser or two. I'm sure the 70km
group must have been able to overtake a few other bikes too.

Hey... just imagine how dull it would be if there were no ligfietsen!
