A short run this morning as this morning was not in a good mood and clearly did not want anybody bounding about, wicking, being reflective and, least of all, enjoying themselves. The moisture dashed from the grey sky in spits and spatters as though the Gods where twirling many wet dishcloths overhead. It would seem the God whose job it is, every now and then, to check and see if runners will persevere was in a rambustious mood. As such and quite skilled in the art of twirling a wet dishcloth from the heavens He chose to combine the two arts will great skill and determination. Rain an sleet and the odd inexplicably fluffy bit of snow arrived with great speed and at odd angles, just right to enter ears, nostrils and any other orifice exposed or agape (perhaps lifesavingly, there were no others). And so tested I persevered, but so much as to impress. If Thor was the judge of my metal he might have waggled his hammer thoughtfully, considering whether to smite, smote or simply squash this one and make way for hardier folk.
At any rate, got back early, SSS, at my desk and what do I see? Clear blue sky through waving pines in bright bloody sunshine.
