  1. Why does George get to wear a different kit than the other Discovery
    boys.

  2. well he's tall, so he needs a larger jersey.

I don't know, is he wearing an aerosuit instead of jersey/shorts?

  5. He may get special dispensation to wear clothing made by his company
    Hincapie sportswear.

Axel Merckx has a similar deal where he gets to ride an Eddy Merckx
    bike and not a Ridley

Does anyone else wonder how much $$$ Oakley is paying him to
wear those butt ugly sunglasses? I hope it's a lot. I mean,
consider the damage they are doing to his clothing line.
Would you buy clothing from a guy wearing those sunglasses.

The shoes are something he can recover from. The sunglasses
    are deadly.

Yeah, but when you see 'em, you always know it's George. Except when
    it's Michael Barry, that is.

  8. Sorry, I was wrong, George is modeling a new Nike jersey:

Interesting. I got nipple chafing from bibs in hot weather a couple
    years ago and it sucked.

Dunno, but I've seen two riders in San Francisco wearing those glasses
in just the last week. Naturally, said riders were covered in logos of
    one kind or another.

Are his clothes really any good? They have an odor of overstyling, but I
haven't seen them in any stores to check if the construction is okay.

My team uses them and the stuff is quite nice.

  14. Mine as well. Good stuff except the sizing got a lot smaller this year
(no...I didn't put on any weight). My medium bibs from last year are
comfortable - this year - binding at best.

That makes sense - you can tell from the pictures that George
    is even skinnier this year.

Mine also, and the sizing is all over the place. We have lots of people
that the medium SS Jerseys are too big and the medium LS jerseys are too
small. The SS jerseys with the full length zippers are pretty sweet.

He's got ambitions to take over from Cipo, perhaps.

I ran into sizing issues with this year's Mt. Mitchell jersey. Looks like it
was because of a switch in production facility. Here's part of Steve Baker's
response to my inquiry about sizing changes (yes, my sizes would truly
qualify as fattie master, if I raced; I guess it's just fattie fred, given
    my level of skill/participation):

<me>Have you guys changed your sizing chart? The reason for my query: I've
ordered Hincapie jerseys from 4 events. The first was an XXL (2X) (Ride for
NAMI) -- too small. Next was last year's Mt. Mitchell jersey, an XXXXL
(4X) -- too big. Then came last year's Blood Sweat & Gears, an XXXL (3X) --
just right, maybe -slightly- too big. Figuring I had hit upon the proper
size for my sizable gut, I ordered an XXXL (3X) for this year's Mitchell
jersey. It fits like the XXL (2X). Is it possible there was a mixup in
labeling (internal label and the plastic bag both say XXXL)? Or was this
year's jersey a race cut instead of club cut?</me>

<steve>I am sorry if we have done the sizing dance on you over the last
couple years. We have not changed things that much, but there is some
variation in the sizing as we fine-tune our product. We did make some
changes between your NAMI, '04 Mitchell and BSG jerseys. We had it dialed
in by the time you ordered your 3XL BSG jersey. I would say that you are
supposed to fit a Hincapie 3XL jersey. However, we made the Mitchell
jerseys in Colombia, South America this year at our new production facility.
Of course, there is a variation tolerance with all apparel manufacturing.
There may be a slight size difference between this order in the new plant
    and the Italian plant.</steve>

Rember how Lance ended up on Overhaulin' and American Chopper?

Well, George is going to be on an upcoming episode of Queer Eye for
the Straight Guy. You are seeing the results. They just couldn't talk
him out of those space glasses.

Don't do it. I know what you're going to say. Just DON'T DO IT!
