can now get them to print whatever text you would like on the back for a
mere £2.12. So get your orders in for vests printed with 'My other
bike's a Brompton', 'Oil is running out' or 'One less car'!

Perhaps the difference is the same as the difference between the Louis
Vuitton bags one can by for not many of the Hong Kong dollars vs the
ones one can buy for a great quantity of the French Euros ;-)

Heh, I'm tempted to get one that says "No, I will not get in the cycle
lane". It would save me much wear and tear on my vocal cords.

Hivis get my recommendation too. I bought a contractor's jacket and matching
trousers from them for conservation work; brilliant value, quality and
service.

Or, copy a motorcyclist I know(*) and have the word "Polite" .

I suspect that gets a wider passing space than a blonde wig.

As the service appears to be one where you submit your own artwork, the top
of the "t" could be shortened a fraction. Think of it as homage to all
those who move the screw-heads around on their car numberplates to spell
different words.

(* in his case, written in an oval on the front fairing of a big touring
motorcycle. It has been there for years, and he's had enough conversations
with traffic officers that its evidently not a problem ).

The one I bought for £1 doesn't have a reflective stripe over the shoulders.
Some people think that matters, others sit up a bit more.

I'm sure "fewer" is correct, although "one car fewer" is probably a
better word order. It is not the one car that is fewer, but the
population of cars that is fewer by one. If there were only one car to
start with and you removed it, then it would indeed be wrong to say one
fewer.
