  1. Bad service? Okay, how about you call to order a pizza. First they keep
telling you to call a different location... we must have been on the cusp or
the verge or the Mason Dixon line. Five locations later, one finally admits
they deliver to your particular area. Oh, good! So you place the order.
It's 9PM on a Monday night, what do they mean it will be an hour and a
half?! So you wait. And you wait. You call back. They don't answer the
phone. 3 hours later you finally decide the pizza guy ain't pizza'ing. You
cook some bacon and steam some broccoli and make a broccoli/cheese/bacon
omelet with toast and pretend it's a pizza 🙂

    Mornin' Jill,

That's bad service alright! Especially when you get that hunger where
    nothing else will do.

    THE BUMS!!!

Yeah, we really wanted some pepperoni with extra mozzarella. Oh well,
whatcha gonna do? Make do, like we did. Okay, so wheat toast isn't pizza
crust. So bacon isn't pepperoni. So the cheese isn't mozzarella. Eggs
aren't tomato sauce and how the heck did the broccoli come into play?
    Hmmmm.

We've had that happen, too. I remember one time when I made several
calls and finally figured out which Pizza Hut would deliver to us, and
ordered a pizza from that location. An hour went by, no pizza. I
called. They said, "Sorry, we don't deliver to that address, you'll
have to call the XYZ location." Auuughhh! We have not attempted to
order from Pizza Hut since then.

Now we order from Vocelli's. It's kind of weird to call Pittsburgh to
have a pizza delivered in Virginia, but they get it done, and their
pepperoni is really good...the small, spicy, chewy kind, generously
applied. Their pizza is the closest thing in this area to the pizza
they have in Buffalo. I know not many people use Buffalo as the gold
standard of pizza, but I like it a lot. Fortunately, we are driving up
to Buffalo tomorrow to visit my parents, so I will have a good
pizza-wings-beef-on-weck fix. And gain 5 pounds, I'm sure!

And as for omelettes...I often fix them for my husband if he comes home
really late at night...and I always end up wishing that I hadn't eaten
yet so that I could have some with him. They're one of my favorite
hurry-up dinners...but no, they're not quite the same as pizza when
    you've got that pepperoni hankering!

Is there still a place called Bella Pizzaria on South Park in Lackawanna?
