I've never seen it in a jar, only the little cans for $.85.
Herdez rocks. They have a casera, a ranchera, and a verde.
The salsa *casera* is the best stuff on earth. Made form
simple ingredients and so good. And in a *can* no less!
Looks like their newest one is "Salsa Taquera" in a jar.
Never saw that one. herdez.comherdez.comOpen ↗. It's in spanish.

Yes, it's been my favorite for a long time. I save leftover
salsa in ice-cube tray, and thenvpop them into plastic bag.
Works great. Great on morning scrambled eggs, hamburgers,
anything Mexican. Nancree

It's the only kind I buy too. If there is a better one
available here in in Gringo country, I haven't found it.
Yummy! Now I want chips and salsa. LOL!

I agree, and I live in Phoenix, the salsa capital of
the universe.

Oh, Nan... if you only KNEW how different your life is
from "the coasts" - I NEVER dreamed of freezing salsa to
use later.

Actually my recipe for guacamole is 3 avocados and 1 small
can of herdez salsa.couldn't be simpler, and people rave
over my guacamole. I get asked to bring it every time we
have a potluck at work.

Herdez is fabulous. My *favorite* commercial salsa.

I hereby take back my bad review of Herdez salsa,
conditionally.
The one in the bottle WAS awful. The salsa casera in the
small can was quite tasty.

Like most truly good products, they sacrifice consistency
for all the other qualities that those who prize consistency
sacrifice. You probably got a batch with an extra wad of one
ingredient.
