  1. Hi Folks,

Extreme urination , 15 very full bladers within 2 hours on 3rd day of LCing.

    Scenario:

After being in Ketosis for 24 days and had great success, I decided to
take a break for 5 days since I really love the fruits in my yard and
    the season is ending.

For 5 days I ate tons of fruits. I noticed my weight went up by 4 LB.
I am sure water played a big role here.

Then I went back on LC. On the 3rd day of LCing I experienced extenssive
urination frequency. Within 2 hours I had 15 extremely full bladders.
Some of which were 5 minutes appart. I had to RUSHHHH to restroom.
Half way through, I got worried and begun to drink water to ensure
    against dehydration.

I remembered somoene saying he'd discovered he'd become diabetic
when he noticed high frequency in uriniation. So I assumed due to
LCing my sugar level had dropped drastically.

I decided to follow Atkin's advise: I ate 1.5 table spoons of penut butter
    (10 g carb).

15 minutes after the penut butter intake the urination rush ended.

Did the penut butter really play a role here OR it was something else
    and the end was coincidental?

Was that a diabetis sign? I didn't feel dizzy or any thing else, I was
    functioning very
normal. The ONLY thing that I'd done wrong is: I hadn't slept for 36
    hours.

This happened 2 days ago, hasn't occured again. Now I am in ketosis and
functioning well. Any idea? Please help.

    Thanks,

    J.

On the 3rd day of induction, I had the same kind of experience. I was
up nearly all night long, peeing about every half hour to 1 hour. In my
first week, my weight was down 8lbs. Probably most of it was water. Losing a
few pounds of water in the first few days is normal, as your body is using
up all the available glucose which is bound together with 4 parts of water.
The average person has about a pound of glucose tied with 4lbs of water
stored in the liver and muscles. You probably wouldn't be in ketosis until
this is all used up. It seems as though the body wants to maintain
equillibrium and once it discovers all this extra water, decides to dump it
all in short manner. 15 full bladders in 2 hours seems like above average,
but I don't know if what you feel as "full", is different than what I feel
as "full" and therefore may have to pee more frequently. Frequent urination
is a symptom of diabetes, but you may be fretting for no reason. If it
continues, definitely go see a doctor to get tested. You say this happened 2
days ago and not since, so it sounds normal. A lot of people though, do not
know when they are pre-diabetic until the disease progresses to advanced
stage. Anyway, I'm just relating to you what happened to me, and by no means
should you take what I say here as advice. If you are concerned about health
problems, don't rely on a newsgroup for a diagnosis. A test for diabetes
would be the only true way to be sure if you are sensitive to carb and sugar
    intake.

  4. Sounds like you had a "whoosh" - losing the water weight from the increased
carbs you ate. I've noticed this myself. That said, if it continues, see a
    doctor.

I've had some big urination streaks, and I sometimes wake up with a
very dry throat, but 15 times in 2 hours is completely beyond anything
    that I have experienced.

You may have started with a liver that was fully charged with
stored carbs and the water they were stored in. If you were
on Atkins Induction or some other plan that put you at 20 carb
grams per day, your body was burning tose stored carbs quickly.
Looks like your body decided to get rid of its water all at
once. Very common during Atkins Induction; it's why I try to
get new folks on Atkins to stay off the scale during Induction.
Too much water retention bounce. Even if you're not on Atkins,
what you have experienced is common enough.

Now John, Think about this.......If this had been sex you were talking
about. The women would have been lined up at your door! Aw Schucks
    Huh????

  8. I have experience this too, but all through the time I am LCing. I have
always used that as my way of knowing I'm on the right track. It stops is
I cheat then a day or so after I get back on track the peeing syndrome
    starts again.
