HELP!....Road tire problems....

alfeng: Did you also see the the 9 Nov RBR email? It discussed tire test results published recently by Bicycle Quarterly mag. Apparently the report found major differences in rolling resistance of different 23 mm road tires, but only a slight increase when dropping pressures from 105 psi down to 85. Another surprising result was that 28mm tires inflated at 85 psi would be faster than the 23's at 105 psi that most of us ride. Would be interesting to read the whole article as published.

Hey, that's Michael Allison! I have ridden with him a few times around NYC. He's an awesome cyclist, a veritible font of knowledge & experience...and seeing his endorsement of lower pressure is certainly all the encouragement I need to at least try it out myself.
