HELP! - Neuvation wheels

What tyre pressuers are you using?

Are you using a good quality floor pump with a gauge?

However, I have had no less than 15 flats between both wheels. Each time I changed the tube, I checked the inside of the tires and found no issues, the inside of the rims for burrs and found none, the spokes (which are not protruding), and the rim tape (which is in tact). I know that I'm not damaging the tubes while reseating the tires on the rims.

Does anyone have Neuvation wheels and have had the same problem? Any ideas as to why this might be occurring? As far as I know, there's no psi limit on the rims (i.e. American Classic Sprint 350 wheelset). Anybody know anything about the tires? Is the compound overly soft and prone to punctures? Am I missing something?

This is driving me up a wall - I'm about to ditch the wheels and would really appreciate some help!!!

Are the tubes puncturing in the SAME place?

Look at WHERE the tube is being damaged and compare the rim, accordingly.

I saw one person's rim tape which lost its integrity when it got wet -- the fibers stretched enough that the tube was able to press past the tape and touch a spoke ... end result were back-to-back punctures.

There IS a place in this world for Michelin rim tape ...

I usually run +/- 120 (recommended PSI for the tires I'm running). I've got a Joe Blow Pro pump (a few years old but in good condition & it does have a gauge).

A few of the punctures have been in the same place (generally on the rear wheel, opposite the valve stem. I did check everything thoroughly in that area but came up "empty handed." Good call on the rim tape. I will check it out.

I run the neuvation R28 sl wheels also along withy hutchinson carboncomp tires. I have had these wheels for 7 months now with 0 flats and about 1000 miles. By the $10 mr tuffy tube protectors and check the tire for very small angled debris. I had a piece of wire in a tire once that only showed itself with a tube inserted and inflated. The Neuvation rim tape could also have a rough edge where the seam is.

Try another set of tires.

This is the key. Check to see if you're puncturing the tubes in the same spot. If the rim tape is substandard, I recommend velox.
