Ray -
You have the wrong person. I tried the low-carbs and no-
carbs route when I was a teenager before Atkins was invented
and it didn't work for me. Only Weight Watchers works for
me. No doughnuts or cappuccino in my past either even at my
top weight. I hate cappuccinos. Also I am not on
maintenance, but still losing weight - have 1.6 lbs to go to
goal. I started at 206 and am now 141.6. I eat 20 to 23
points each day and earn 4 to 6 points in exercise each day.
I try to share the secret to my weight loss and most
everyone scoffs. Hey, it's no skin off my nose whether you
believe me or not. If you must know what I eat - I have 6 to
7 fruits and vegetables a day, 1 cup of 1 % milk and 1 slice
of 2% cheese, a sandwich with two slices of Turkey, 2
regular slices of bread, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, and fat
free mayonnaise. For supper it is 4 to 5 points of protein.
My treat is a Weight Watchers ice cream sandwich almost
every day. I weigh every day and when I stop losing for
several days in a row, I eat an extra 10 to 20 points to get
the weight loss going again (modified Wendie Plan).
Everytime I forget to add the extra points, I hit a plateau.

No

So your maintenance is 1100 a day? I think there's more to
this than you are telling us, cos on the face of it that
can't be true.
If I remember correctly you are slightly overweight and
not exactly petite? Is that right? You tried to do low
carbs but couldn't get it to work 'cos you kept eating
donuts? Do tell us how many calories there are in a donut
and a capuccino?
