  1. Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions on what I can do to better prepare myself
for the inevitable doping scandal that will occur either during or
after the Vuelta this year. I've been letting myself get too upset
over these events in the last 8 years and it's taking its toll on me
physically and mentally. I think that there must be a way to still
love this sport and not let these scandals ruin that love.

Here are just a few ideas of my own:
    1. Forget about GC and watch only the sprint stages. I like the
sprinters a lot and I'm certain that they don't cheat - ever.
    2. Become a fan and supporter of some guy that has no chance in hell
of doing anything great in the race. Even if he dopes, nobody will
care enough to check. So, I can take on the mentality of, "Yea, well
he could win if everybody was as clean as he is."
    3. Stop reading RBR.
    4. Start doping myslef.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

You're not gonna like this, but you need to hear it, so you may as well
    hear it from me:

It's just a bike race AND you're not in it. Don't take it so seriously
and resolve yourself to not give a damn if they catch someone cheating.
Why worry about what doesn't affect you directly and what you can't
    change anyway.

You can call and cancel your next month's worth of sessions now. Buy
yourself something nice with the money you saved.

Yes - ignore those blokes on bikes and enjoy the scenery.

Forget the Vuelta. Subscribe to CyclingWeekly and start following RTTC

Well, day two's OK, I'm running a crit so I can't watch telly. And day
four's OK, because I'll be seeing Tom Boonen and Andreas Kloden (among
others) in the flesh. After that... h'mmmm... yes... see your problem.

    5. Stop doping yourself.

Apparently, you are so coked up that you do not remember
what mad little molecules are raging through your system.
    Definitely stop the pineal extract.

There isn't. Every pro cycling result is suspect. You don't know if the
rider doped, you don't know if he won against doped competition. If he
tests positive, you don't know if he was actually doping, or if its a
false positive, or that his samples were tampered with or affected by
mishandling. You don't know if his team is systematically doping. You
don't know if the UCI is trying to clean up doping or cover it up. You
don't know if WADA is properly managing drug testing, or abusing its
powers. The sport has no integrity.

The solution is to ride your bike, quit following pro cycling, and stop
    being a sucker.
