Y'all, I came home from work yesterday and was STARVING!!! Luckily I had some WOW chips and grabbed
a handful before I devoured the whole kitchen. I had oatmeal for breakfast, a Healthy Choice meal,
salad and apple for lunch so WHY was I so hungry?? The only thing I can think of is that I forgot to
take my One-A-Day WeightSmart.

How many points were that breakfast and that lunch? Maybe you need to spread things out. I do a
piece of fruit (or some pretzels) mid-morning and mid-afternoon.WannaBLean said:

I doubt that vitamin is going to have anything to do with whether you feel hungry or not ...
nutritional stuff in it but nothing as far as fillers. I've noticed that whenever I eat one of those
cardboard boxed meals, I can always count on being hungry again in a short time. My guess is there
just isn't much in them to keep us going for long. Then again, it could just be one of those natural
things. We all have days where no matter what or how much we seem to eat, we seem to always be
hungry. It always hits me just before TOM, sometimes during (which happened this month for some -
maybe post holiday sympathy???). The best you can do is to fight the urges and/or reach for
healthier and lighter snacks. Sounds to me like you did ok through this tough period.Joyce

Hi, It happens to me from time to time. I can't really see that it has to do with the food I am
eating. I try to exercise if that is possible, or make a pot of decaf tea in place of food,
especially if it happens between meals. Drinking water seems to help with the problem.--

I feel your pain! Afternoons between 3:00-5:00 are my worst times. Three kids plus friends come in
starving and want snacks. I make it fine until then. I'm not much for raw veggies. I like the low-
fat popcorn and fruit but its a test to stay away from the kids snacks. I've been teetering around
168(total loss 33lbs. since 7/03) since before Christmas. I'm having trouble cutting out things to
keep my points at 20. I walk an hour a day on the treadmill and don't count those points. I'm not
real disciplined about keeping up with the flexpoints and that may be my problem. I eat pretty much
the same thing for breakfast (Special K Red Berries w/FFM-3pts) and lunch(2 pt sandwich w/wow
chips). Sugar Free pudding is good and low pts. Might want to try keeping some of that on hand."WannaBLean" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

I found that I was hungry too by 3pm (lunch at 12pm) if I ate a HC or LC meal for lunch. Their
points are mostly from carbs (noodles & rice). I find it cheaper to bring a serving of chicken, beef
or pork (3-4 oz) & mixed veggies in a container to nuke until hot. I add a salad with LF dressing
plus a 1/2 cup container of yogart or SF fruit cocktail for a total of 6 points. And I am not hungry
until dinner time. A lot cheaper with no added salt. I also bring in a cup of chili (leftovers) plus
a salad or any other leftovers I can find that are low in points. We don't have a cafeteria at work
so I have to bring my lunch eat day. Tomorrow will be a sandwich with 2 oz of meat (very little LF
mayo) plus some left over soup from dinner tonight."WannaBLean" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

I always try to eat more protein in the morning for breakfast. That seems
to curb my hunger well through lunch! 🙂--

Thanks y'all! I was worried because I knew that when I lose 5 more pounds my
points will go down and I was afraid I'd be hungry all the time. I'm going
to keep raw veggies handy for the next time that happens.

I like an afternoon snack. Like some others said, the kids come home from school and have a snack,
so I want one, too. I try to arrange my points so I have room for a 2-3 pt snack. I have a small
yogurt, or some pretzels, or a cookie.--

Why are you trying to keep your points at 20? If you are currently 168, I think ww has your target
points at 22 - doesn't drop to 20 until you reach the 150 mark if I recall correctly. And if you are
exercising heavily, as it sounds like - then you should be eating more. Eating too little may very
well be what is causing you to be in somewhat of a plateau.Joyce

Hehehe, I really didn't mean to correct you, was just concerned that you weren't eating enough. I
fall into the same problem sometimes - two extremes ... too little or too much, gotta find that
happy medium. Even if you are eating at 22, exercising and not eating the AP's or any flexpoints, I
have a feeling you are sending some nasty messages to your body - and the results aren't going to be
what you are looking for.Joyce

Oh I wasn't offended Joyce! I appreciate you pointing it out. I also think part of the problem is I
eat pretty much the same thing for breakfast and lunch. I haven't been journaling like I should for
a couple of months now. I lost 1.5 lbs during the holidays(Dec.) which is good I guess. I'm just
having a hard time getting back in the routine. I'm sure I'm eating too many little things here and
there and not watching portion sizes as much. You know how it is, in you head you know how much
things are so you count them up w/o writing them down. Its all about being disciplined! Those last
20 lbs. are hanging on for dear-life!!! This is such a great NG! I get more from here than I do my
meetings sometimes!"Joyce" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

Any loss over the holidays is fantastic and a victory! I definitely know how it is with those
slightly increased portion sizes, or grabbing a little thing here and there - seems to be the exact
thing I went though in late December. Try to get back into the journaling, if you can. I also
ventured away from it while trying hard to maintain - probably wasn't the smartest thing I did
considering the holiday season also. <g> Whenever I get back to it though, I find I make much better
concious choices. And boy do I remember how tough those last 20 pounds were to get off! There were
many times I swore my body was at a constant battle of wills against me. <G>Joyce
