So I ordered a bicycle off the internet and it came to me semi-assembled. I put it all together yesterday and after some tweaking the front and rear breaks work great and the derailers are both good; the gears change the chain doesn't rub...
When I got it all sized to my body I thought I was finished; but, I noticed (and I hope I'm using the correct terms here) that there was some play/wiggleroom between the fork and the bicycle frame.
I'm not sure how to tighten this, or if it should be tightened. There is a screw that goes down into frame; but it's perfectly smooth; I can only finger tighten it. If I take that off and remove the piece that holds the handles bars I can slide the fork out from the frame, but as I do I can see a whole bunch of little parts and whatnot and they all seem to be covered in grease or oil so I get the impression that I shouldn't be messing with it.
So, can anyone tell me what I'm missing or what I should do?
