Helmets and wind noise

1) Glad you're (presumably) ok.

2) I think my Bell Ghisallo is quiet, comfy, and well ventilated.

Broken collarbone, right side all bruised up, (esp. the hip) and head
all bruised up (I probably wouldn't be here if the helmet hadn't been
there).

Giro Mira (probably beneath your price range, but I only wear one about
4x a year) does the same thing. I don't know if noise is a priority for
the designers.

I have a pair of cold weather ear covers that fit on the helmet straps.
Besides keeping my ears warm in winter they cut out virtually all wind
noise. Brand name is 'Hot Ears'. They're so effective at noise reduction
that I wondered about making myself a similar pair in lightweight material
for summer use. Guess I'll have to wait for summer and try it (presently
midwinter here).
