  1. Hi guys, I couldn't find your introductions page and so I figured this is as good a place as any. I'm from Davao Philippines. I'm at the southern most part of the island of Mindanao. Started riding bikes since I could walk. Never got serious until about college and shortly after where I'd ride daily before work. These days I'm more of a casual rider. But I still love it every time. I have a couple of mountain bikes. Both 26ers. One full suspension XC and a full rigid (same bike from college). Image in Hello from The Philippines! Image in Hello from The Philippines! I'm planning on making the rigid more street/commute worthy, maybe skinnier tires with minimal tread. Bit taller stem. Stuff like that. Would have loved a roadie but my house has this crazy steep hill and a rocky/gravelly section going up to it so that's out. Anyway, I'm hoping to learn more about bikes and riding/fitness here as well as contribute what little I know as well. Cheers! 8

  3. Thanks for the warm welcome!

  4. Hello! I love the Phillipines. I was in Cebu in 2010. Had a great time. Wish I was back there now in fact.

  5. Those are pretty good bikes for the Philippines. I lived in Chicago, but now I'll be in Quezon City for some time. Many bike shop here sell counterfeit and cheaper brand Filipino bikes.

  6. Those are nice bike you have there and I like Davao, it is a city with a relaxed atmosphere and there are mountainous bike trails there. Good that you chose a mountain bike to use there, especially when going out and in your house. I am new here too and I have learned a lot of things from this forum and am about to learn about more because there are various topics about cycling.

  7. Hello and welcome to this forum 😄
Hope that you will enjoy your stay.

  8. Hello and welcome. I have a quetion for you, which will probably show my extreme ignorance, but I'm genuinely curious. Since the Phillipines are islands, how does the climate and humidity affect your bike? I have heard that cars do not hold up well in Hawaii, but I don't know about bikes.
