I believe it premieres again tonight, 8/7 central on the Fox network. I happen to find Chef Gordon Ramsey to be a bit over the top but that's all part of the entertainment, isn't it? Can't wait to see what the teams are cooking up this season 🙂
OB Lunch: Leftover Chinese. Fried rice, pork egg fu yung and steamed dumplings with soy/ginger dipping sauce.

Were they to find some contestants with balls, tongue would be on the menu and lord Ramsey would be oddly quiet...

I miss my grammy now. She had an old fashioned gas stove. Whenever someone got mouthy or fooled around the stove, she would hold your hand over the flame and go 'okay, tough guy, let's see how long you can stand it....if you can't stand the heat get the hell out of my kitchen....' always backed them down....all 4'10" of her. She'd have Ramsey's guts for garters.

Did anyone see it? It seems they have a derth of good contestants. One or two people who know what the heck they are doing, and a bunch of people who couldn't feed a family of four. Heather was impressive with her burned hand, barking orders. I am surprised she got so freaked at her burn, though.

We watched it.
Deli manager, salad maker, pizza boy, business guy fishmonger. Most of them were not chefs. Makes me wonder why they applied. I understand why they got picked - more for the host to pick on. But geez.
I do wonder at the people that go to the restaurant. Do they seriously think they will get food?

Nonsensical. Each of these people knew exactly what they signed up for. What would you think of guy who joined the army, then attacked his drill sergeant for yelling at him?
These aren't people dragged unwillingly off the streets. This is a game show. Part of the deal is that FOR DRAMATIC PURPOSES Ramsay will yell, scream, belittle, etc. For that they get a shot a free restaurant. These people begged to be on the show.

I love Gordon Ramsay - I watch both Hell's Kitchen and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
Hell's Kitchen always grosses me out though...the guy sweating INTO the food, and everybody constantly touching their hair, wiping their noses, and stuff like that...blech!
It's probably nothing compared to what happens in restaurants I eat at, but at least I don't have to SEE it there! 😉

The dude wuth the sweat in the food was gross. And I agree that Giacomo needs to cut his hair or get a hairnet.
