Isn't he the annoying fellow who would knock on doors and haul a team of
chefs into the home to prepare dinner using whatever was in the house?

I'm watching Hell's Kitchen because believe it or not, the man is an
excellent chef. And he may cuss and fuss but he demands perfection in a
restaurant kitchen. He's taking all these newbies who think it's easy to
cook and teaching them nope, not that easy. Now don't get me wrong, you
don't have to cuss at people to get them to work in the kitchen. But if,
after 90 minutes not one entree has gone out to the floor... those folks
don't belong in the kitchen. I find it very entertaining. I also find it a
good reason for my father not to suggest I go to culinary arts school at my
age. Sorry, I'm too old for all that drama 🙂

Heh. No, that's Gordon Elliot. Gordon Ramsey is the Hell's Kitchen
chef.

Ah. Then I haven't seen him. Gordon Elliot was truly an annoying man. I
noticed a new show along similar lines to Gordon Elliot's, where some
cute young chef ambushes a market shopper and goes home with her to
prepare food. Knowing my luck, just as it always is when kids need to be
rushed to the emergency room, my hair would need washing and I'd be
without make up wearing my scroungiest clothes. LOL

Isn't Elliot the extremely annoying man that continuously touted Campbell's
canned cream of mushroom soup for green bean casserole? IIRC he was a
Campbell's spokeperson on commercials for quite awhile.

That's why the "Take Home Chef" says to dress up when you go to the
supermarket ;-) I've enjoyed watching it so far - he's on TLC tonight.

Wow... I haven't heard that expression in a very long time... about 20
years ago I came an inch from buying a house on Hells Bells Road in
Carson City Nevada. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Funny - I don't find it stressful. I love watching them bumble their
way through the meals. Picking the *real* contenders is fun.

Heh, I don't even know why I said that. I have never used that
expression in my life. What a funny address, come on down to
50 Hell's Bells! (laugh)

I wondered who Gordon Ramsey was. I don't watch Hell's Kitchen. I
don't even know if I can get it. Don't care either.

It's not to everyone's taste. I like it.

No way, that's that buffoon Gordon Elliot. Ramsay, like him or not, is
a reknowned chef and restauranteur. One of his restaurants in the UK
has three Michelin stars (the highest they give).

His resto in Glasgow was closed down for cleanliness issues

I like Gordon Elliot, he's okay by me. As far as the Hell's Kitchen
show, I don't care for the yelling, yelling is not okay with me, just me
personally. Grew up with yelling, no yelling now. That's all.

I did find a news article about health reports at Ramsay's restaurants,
no indication that any were closed by the health officials.

He has closed the Glascow restaurant.
