Is this prayer directed to any deity that we should be in
fear of, or just the one dominating alternative medicine,
the God of misinformation, fraud and delusion (also known as
GOMFAD)? GOMFAD followers support and defend, among other
things, the selling of useless treatments at high cost to
desperate cancer patients. I am ready to go toe to toe with
that One any time.
This is not to say that a very few remedies that alternative
medicine claims to have discovered may have some merit,
especially the odd herbal remedy. It just remains difficult
to see any really useful harvest amongst all the weeds after
some years of excessive hype.
