sub 20 5k.

Unsafe, I'd've said, but sure.
Quoted message said:heartrate monitors are cute and expensive toys but are also lame;
Heck, my bread and butter workout is a heart rate monitor interval workout; run
to 160 bpm, walk to 120 bpm, repeat for 5k.
Quoted message said:8 minutes per mile and slower is often fun and all
that, but is still jogging.
Biomechanically there is no middle gait, just walking and running.

back, more or less. Actually, less. But the year's young. So along
the lines of "just checking in," who of any interest is posting
anything of any interest?
As you can see, Doug keeps up, but I have drifted in and out of both
posting and running. But some new shoes and possibly a race soon.

I don't remember you taking sides in the jogger/runner debates before
(could be just my poor memory), but I am surprised you are in the
"8minutes or slower is jogging" crowd. Well, you have the "pretty but
tough" role staked out.
I tried head phones awhile ago (when the rio's first came out. They are
okay, but too much work for the little benefit of filling your head
with something, when there is so much else to think about. So I didn't
use them for long. I enjoy the quiet of my running, even though you
might call it only a jog. 8^)
Anyway, It's still godd to hear from you, even just occasionally. I'm
sure your training might get back, but time for rec.running may still
be slim for you for a while. Enjoy the new life, each moment is
precious.
Enjoy the run,
Ed
You got a chubby for her Ed?
