Anyone know of a source for tiny brass rivets of this type?
I was thinking that I could make some from small solid brass screws,
but it seems like a lot of work compared to buying them :-)

I don't know either but aluminum screws peen over easily.

A couple of brass pop rivets would probably do the trick if you don't
feel like hammering.

A large hardware store should have real rivets. Around here it would be
OSH. I wouldn't try hammering a screw because they tend to be brittle.

Although I have never made them, it shouldn't be too difficult to
manufacture copper rivets.

www.mcmaster.com has 1/8" pop rivets in aluminum, steel, stainless
steel, and copper. The only 1/8" brass rivets they have are solid.

That might be the best solution... grind the top off the right sized
brass screws flat, and just tack them in with a dot of JB weld.

I probably wasn't clear...I need rivets around 1/16" for this job. The
standard 1/8" would be too large. But, I will check Mcmaster anyway.

Round top brass tacks would be my choice to look like rivets. Probably
easier to snip them than grind, as they're teeny. Possibly too
delicate an operation for JB weld, alternately, use baling wire and
hose clamps.

Ah, now we're getting down to brass tacks! Personally, I attached my
Schwinn Circuit head badge with contact cement.
