  1. from what i can tell this is a far superior bored.

    πŸ˜‰

  2. i took a look of about 10 minutes, and here's my take:

-- it feels very "indoors" and stuffy; it feels crowded like a department store during the xmas rush.
-- although the interface has the same general look/feel, it's busier (a bit of sensory overload over there)
-- i feel like if i behave, use capital letters when i type, don't run on too many sentences, and stay on the uninteresting side of interesting, then i may be able to glide about in that forum.
-- if i express myself casually the way i express myself, i might get kicked off as an unwelcome troll...

yes, it seems like everyone is very polite. i didn't see anyone ranting, insulting. the few posts that i read (i didn't read many) were very supportive. i may even visit every now and then, but i think i will always feel like a visitor over there, and not "at home" like i do over here.

seems like it all comes down to "fit"--this forum feels like a better fit for me. but it was good to know about.

    ---------------------------------------------------------
maybe it's because i'm a geek. maybe it's because i do appreciate these ranting egomaniacs on this forum (who, if sometimes abrasive, are by no means devoid of character). i love the way this forum seems to be so open to letting people just be who they are. maybe i'm just in la-la-land.

  3. It's too big.

  5. im going to do a little test to see which forum is better. we will see how this post does over there. in time, examination of the quality and quantity of replies will determine the answer to my question.

    fair enough? πŸ™‚

  6. I've been on both sites for a little while now and I don't see any reason to choose either over the other. Both offer different perspectives and opinions, so I say enjoy the best of both worlds and choose bothπŸ™‚

  7. it is the ability to exercise choice that is "far superior"

Why slum it? πŸ˜• (Over there of course!) πŸ˜„

  9. Forget that rubbish...

This is my favourite bike forum: www.mtbdirt.com

I realise that we're all roadies here, but I'm sure you guys can appreciate the work that's gone into develop this forum.

Its a bit on the specific side as well! Its for MTBer (duh!) in the South East Qld region of Australia. Population (max) 1.5million. It covers from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine coast (about 400km) and about 120km west (Toowoomba).

    waddaya think?

Had a look over there, even registered. But this one is my preference. Too many long winded posts over there.πŸ™„
