Happy birthday, Koko! I hope your family takes you out for a fabulous
dinner. You're always making great meals for them. It's your turn to be
    pampered. :~)

Thank you all for you birthday wishes. I am touched <go ahead ;-) >

Saturday my daughter is gifting me with a girls day out featuring
Vietnamese food. On Sunday the family is gathering to celebrate mine
    and my nephews birthdays.
Tonight I'll be grilling a couple of lamb chops and roasting some
    potatoes and carrots for dinner.

Tonight I'm opening the $$ bottle of port I bought in Albuquerque and
will toast you all. Thanks for another year of food fun and food
fights. I learn so much from everyone and I'm grateful that I found
    rfc some 15 years ago.

Hey, I'm carrying this on into the weekend.

    Fabulous.
It is so smooth and rich. I found it when I went to Christine's for
the New Mexico cookin'. We went to the winery for an after dinner
    treat. http://www.stclairvineyards.com/
Our desserts are at the bottom of this post on my blog
    http://kokoscorner.typepad.com/mycorner/2007/09/foodie-road-tri.html

Here's what the winery web page has to say about the port.
    It's a DH Lescombes Port.
" Our Port features the heady aroma of flowers, minerals and
blueberries. Rich and full-bodied, and delightfully sweet. Smooth
velvety tannins and a nice long finish. Limited Production."

If their Summer Peach is any where near as good as the one I bought at
Ft. Bowie winery (they don't ship wine) I'm going to be ordering some
    of that.
