  1. To the High Priestess of Preserves,

    Long may you jam
    and gel
    and pickle
    and cook
    and bake
and regale your fans with tales of your exploits and prizes.

    Enjoy your birthday!

I dunno... She just seems to have more birthdays than normal people. A
few every year. She must be like 325 years old by now.

Thanks, Dearie. Fetched AZ sister this evening -- she's already driving
me nuts. Talks more than I do. And tends to issue directives rather
than make requests. I can live with it but the guy I live with doesn't
do well with it. <sigh> Tomorrow we'll shop for an outrageously
priced quilted handbag. I can hardly wait. NOT.

OB Food: Cleaned 8 quarts of strawberries and froze most. Juicy
suckers. Rob loves those disgusting sponge shortcake cups and I did my
wifely duty and bought some. When Renie got here we had coffee and
    shortcake -- I put a scoop of Edy's Orange Sherbet/Light Vanilla Ice
Cream in the cup and topped with strawberry mush. I've eaten worse.

And now, the benediction of St. Pectina of Jella:

WeBeJammin' ! And I believe tomorrow's will be Doubleberry: Straws and
    Blues.

I guess you could say we preserve well - happy our birthdays, Barb. I get
lowfat angel food cake, frozen berries with a sprinkle of Splenda, and
nofat/nosugar whipped topping. No candles please, fire hazard, them
    birthdays with zeroes in them.

I was premature, but not THAT premature! LOL! Dad got home from the Army
