Thanks.
We are going to the north of Queensland. My sister lives there, with three
children, so I'm not afraid at all not to be able to re-sell the bike. We're
landing in Cairns and I plan to make the trip to Cooktown by bike. Used to
travel round in France in summer holidays, together with my ex-partner, with
2 German alsacian2 in trailers behind our bikes. Acquired a taste for
travelling in that manner.
PS I saw some posts in this group by someone who was planning a trip with a
trailer kayak. Was going to say I don't think side-wind is ever a problem or
even weight, and that a bike with trailer is more stable and easier to steer
than one with panniers except that the long shape of the kayak would be a
problem going over bumps. Then in a magazine I saw an article, about a
combined bike-canoe, check out this site, http://www.autocanoe.com/ dunno
about the comfort and speed performance of such a contraption though!

Yo Mo;
I've seen many people riding around with there kids on
things like you've described, and I've seen them at several
of the bike stores I frequent, So I don't think you will
have a problem getting hold of one.
Which part of Australia are you comming to first? Some one
here might be able to point you at couple of websites for
different bikes stores in that area so you can get some
prices and maybe email a store to discuss any special needs
you might have
Cheers
Joel
